“From Africa to Hollywood: Courage Beyond the Dream” A film by Jean-Luc Kienge
A Vacradio Films Production

In this moving and visually rich documentary, filmmaker Jean-Luc Kienge takes us on a deeply personal yet universal journey — from his African heritage to the bright lights of Hollywood. Through bold imagery, real-life stories, and cultural depth, the film explores what it truly means to overcome adversity and dream beyond borders.

As a tribute to the spirit of the film, poet and artist AKA Emilie White has written a stirring poem that echoes its themes of struggle, hope, and artistic courage. The poem will be publicly shared during the film’s upcoming press tour.

A Message from Jean-Luc Kienge

“This song — and this film — is my message to every young person, and every older dreamer who still believes in something. Never give up. Go beyond the dream — and make it happen. No matter the mockery, the insults, or those who try to make you feel like you are nothing… Keep going. Go beyond the dream, and reach for the stars.”
Jean-Luc Kienge

Special thanks to Emilie White for capturing this spirit so beautifully in her poem.

We are proud to present this film to international audiences.
